Failing M.2 Slot and Frequent Crashes
I am glad I have these options because I thought I was going to have to buy a new SSD and loose everything on the old one until we decided to play musical chairs with it and move it around the board by pulling it out and testing each slot with the other one.

My gigabyte B550M Gaming X WIFI6 board is about a year old and it already is broken. The M.2 SSD slot is burnt out and so now I have to have a m.2 converter adapter to turn it into a Sata SSD or an adapter for it to go under my GPU which is the NVME to PCIe.
We pretty much thought the western digital blue that we just got was bad so we took the western digital black and moved from the slot that it was in to the bad slot to test it.
What lead to us doing this was well I got a new case and new fans. The fans did not have a controller and well, the computer when starting up would boot into bios and we thought it was the fans causing it because of power draw because it did not have a controller. However, it kept doing it every day and so we eventually got a fan controller.
We put the fan controller and was like okay maybe this was it but no. It was not the cause. Even with the fan controller it would still boot into bios. Then, suddenly my computer would start restarting on its on and the only thing I would have open was a browser running. Then we got to thinking and realized it was a issue with the boot drive and came down to its the port going out.
What originally started was my browsers would close on there own and crash and it did not just happen with one browser it happened with multiples and I thought it was an issue with the browsers new update and or the new windows updates because we were reading about how the new updates were crashing but then we came to conclusion it was all of the same thing. Then my browsers would slow down and then games would pop up memory errors and then crash now it is all making sense that my SSD could not be read and it caused major failures in everything.
I bought this board in a bundle from New egg with the Ryzen 5 5500 chip but I should of known something was up with it because it was cheap but other than the m.2 slot burning out I have had no issues with it.
