Blu Bold k5 2 month review

Let me just say, we bought a Blu Bold K5 for the mother in law and let me tell you it has been nothing but a headache. I am not sure if it is the phone itself or just the Service she has since she has Safelink which is based off of T-Mobile towers now but the phone is a pain and we have to keep fixing it for her. This has never happened on a MOTO or the TLC or the other Blu she had but this one is it. It is a cheap phone that is only $79.99 and it is unlocked and is a 2025 one. I highly recommend Motos they are so much more durable and better. Never had an issue with them on any service. The only reason she changed from her moto was because it was time for an upgrade but apparently buying this phone was downgrade.

For starters trying to get the phone over on the Tracfone wireless it was a run around because we needed Sim card B so we had to get that and then we had to sit for an hour trying to get the agent to understand we did get the sim card B and that the phone is unlocked then once they understood and found it in the system, they programed it and turned it on.

Now here is the thing, this phone is a pain! It is a total pain to deal with. This phone well for starters it is suck in Android 14 software 15 does not go to it so it is behind two updates not sure if it can go that high or not.

This phone decides to cut its WIFI off having you to loose WIFI calling and it becomes a pain to fix back. Then when you try to call people prior to fixing the wifi that you already fixed, it decides you have to turn the WIFI off for you to call out and it is just a pain. Some of the calls do not go through, sometimes if you try to call out it gives you a busy signal when the other person you are trying to call is not even on the phone. We know since we tested it calling our phones and it done the same thing. This phone, it is not the greatest phone. I am not sure if its just this one that has a defect or if it was all of them but just from the experience, this one is not a good one.
