Remnant is a survival game that has PVP and PVE. You can play solo or you can coop in this game and take on all the threats around you.
In this game you have to worry about your starvation, the environment around you, if the air is polluted, are you being poisoned, you have to try to stay a live and keep your sanity which can end up being harder than it seems. You can also craft in this game, make friends or enemies.
I would say make friends that way you can end up taking out more enemies and it will be fun and not a lonely game.
This game has a lot to do and worry about but it is fun. You get to experience the environmental change and how brutal and deadly it all can be.
When we played it, we teamed up and was on opposite ends of the map.
Just like 7 days to die, and Ark there are official servers you can join or you can basically make your own or you can join on a random server.
This game is still in early access so things are still being fixed and they are working on the kinks and bugs. The last time we played this there were no personal maps on maps that you had to find that are hanging around places. This game also has quest you can complete.
To make a personal map you will take wood and paper to make it. The one thing I hate about this game if you do not make a camp or set your server to no do drop you lose it all and have to restart, though without a camp you will be respawned at a random location. I hate to break it to anyone but there are no map markers or anything the map is blank when you make it.
This can be time consuming because you will have to relocate all of your stuff that you had when you died.
