My review about Exoprimal. The game is buggy when I played it when it first released. The game lags out horribly and often times it is hard to turn quickly. Me personally I was excited for this game but when I started to play it, it sucked and was not what I expected. Trying to record it, is the worst! It is laggy, the graphics isn’t even that great when recording it.
This game is a third person shooter PVE with PVP game modes. Each character you have has a different perk. You can also turn into other characters. There is only one map so far. The pvp you can play as dinos but then due to the PVE part, it does not feel like a PVP game.
Exoprimal offers both PvP and PvE modes, each consisting of two rounds with distinct objectives. In round 1, players engage in small missions such as exterminating dinosaurs or defending checkpoints. Round 2, while similar in nature, introduces specific tasks like escorting a package or taking down formidable targets.
The main point of confusion lies in the differentiation between PvE and PvP modes, particularly in round 2. In PvP, players have the opportunity to combat the opposing team’s robots during the final stage. However, this element is absent in PvE mode, where the focus remains on completing objectives without facing another team directly.
Unfortunately, the current implementation of PvE mode seems to blur the lines between the two modes. Despite being labeled as PvE, players are still competing against another team to complete objectives. Additionally, the ability to play as dinosaurs to disrupt the opposing team’s progress adds to the mixed experience, making it feel less like a traditional PvE mode.
This blending of PvP and PvE aspects has sparked dissatisfaction among a significant portion of the community, who expected a more distinct PvE-oriented experience. Addressing these concerns and redefining the PvE mode to provide a truly cooperative, non-competitive experience could help alleviate the frustration and enhance the overall gameplay satisfaction for players seeking a pure PvE challenge.
You are basically fighting dinos that are spawning through portals in the air in a team of 4 in PVE. There are 4 different mission during the phases. It is also a story based game but the story is hard for me to get into and was kind of boring to me. A lot of people are saying this game should of been free instead of being $59.99 and I kind of could not agree more.

Exoprimal is an online team base game where you are fighting dinosaurs in the year 2040. This game basically sounds like Second Extinctions.
I say this because Second Extinction is basically the same way basically mutated dinosaurs takes over the planet and you have to break pieces off of them for research purposes and take them with you. Not saying Exoprimal and this is the same but it defienatly sounds like it.
- Exoprimal and Second Extinction are both first-person shooters that pit players against hordes of dinosaurs. However, there are some key differences between the two games.Setting: Exoprimal is set in a near-future where dinosaurs have returned to Earth. The game takes place in a variety of urban and industrial locations, such as cities, factories, and power plants. Second Extinction, on the other hand, is set in a post-apocalyptic world where dinosaurs have taken over the planet. The game takes place in a variety of natural environments, such as forests, deserts, and mountains.
- Gameplay: Exoprimal is a cooperative multiplayer game where teams of five players work together to complete objectives. The game features a variety of different mech suits that players can use to fight dinosaurs. Second Extinction is also a cooperative multiplayer game of 3 but it can be played solo. The game features a variety of different weapons and abilities that players can use to fight dinosaurs.
- Dinosaurs: Exoprimal features a variety of different dinosaurs, including Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, and Triceratops. Second Extinction also features a variety of different dinosaurs, but it also includes some more exotic creatures, such as the Spinosaurus and the Quetzalcoatlus.
- Overall: Exoprimal and Second Extinction are both fun games that offer a unique take on the dinosaur shooter genre. However, they each offer their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Exoprimal is a more polished and accessible game, while Second Extinction is a more challenging and rewarding game. Ultimately, the best game for you will depend on your personal preferences.
Exoprimal is going to be released on Xbox game pass and when it finally comes out, I will be testing it and updating more on this review.
