Let me just say, I was hesitant on getting this game because I was not sure that I would like it or not but with it being fathers day and Grizzly’s birthday Friday June 13th and he was talking about it I just decided to get it. This game is so much fun. If you played Ark or Conan Exiles then you know this game because it is kind of like it but totally different. This game is made by Conan Exile Devs.
Yes you do get to create your custom character and pick their fighting skill in which you get to change later or add on to it from different classes. This is a server based game so you and your friend have to be on the same server or someone is going to have to move. You can have more than one character so its alright.
There is crafting in this game and building in which do not worry about building your first base as nice and pretty because you’re going to be destroying it later on anyways.
You have to keep a check on your hydration and there are flowers that you can drink from but then again you are going to have to scythe blood from enemies and put it in a purifier to get water. If you cannot make it to the purifier then you can drink the blood if need to.
You also have to dodge the sun like a vampire and don’t stand in the sand to long. Only reason is you will not survive if it starts shaking since there is a giant sandworm you have to run from and get onto rocks because if you do not, and it eat you, you’re not getting your stuff back. So build on top or rocks and stay within the rocks.
There are camps you can loot from and then there are abandon outpost you can use to loot from also. There is all kinds of materials you can find and use laying around.
This game is an MMO game that pretty much is a huge open world map. I would also like to say, it is kind of like once human and there are all kinds of players on it. Be sure to make your base accessible by your friends only and this keeps from having randoms inside of it. Also place a respawn beacon by your base will help you with respawning.
At the beginning, it will ask you locked and unlocked. Unlocked allows everything to be unlocked and is advanced but if you are looking for a story where you have to unlock everything, I would go locked. I did and I am enjoying it a lot.
Also if you have a friend or friends you can use your land claimer thing and make it so they can build and place things on your base which is cool.
If you happen to go down, you can get your loot back and you can also revive yourself if you need to so it is cool.
I highly recommend this game if you are looking for something different.
