Compacting Files and More
Lately all the new game files have been a lot. Lets face it Call of Duty Black ops 6 is over 200GB because of it has CODHQ where you can launch other games from and if you are in my position, buying SSDS with more room can be expensive and then if you don’t upgrade or have enough room you are deleting stuff to make room and in the end it gets annoying and you’ll end up like Grizzly, one SSD with only COD and a small game because everything else is full. Lets face it, a lot of the newer games will not run on a hard drive so SSD is the way to go for gaming, and hard drives are the way to go for other file use where you do not open them. Operating system runs faster on an SSD just saying.
What if I told you there was a way to compress your games and make them smaller? Check out CompressorX it is on steam. It is an AI powered file compression that will install onto your system and allow you to compress files, apps, games and so much more without any issues.
Sometimes depending on the game files, it won’t allow you to compress them and some people saying it is to much for them to work it and they are suggesting CompactGUI in which that is a free version that is on GITHUB. If you use this be sure to read the Readme file to help you along the way.
I am not affiliated with either company, just sharing software around hoping to help someone.
