Today, I decided to part ways with Spotify. I have been a Spotify user for years since 2011 and honestly it has done an amazing job until now. It is like everything I do it lags and freezes to the point I can no longer change songs. It is like the UXI sticks to the point you it does nothing.
You cannot even use the shuffle feature or the smart mix because when you try to click on a song, it does not play it. It sits there for a good minute. It also lagged out on my phone and popped up a black screen.
This happened when I had service and was not in a no service zone. I ended up having to force quit it and clear the cache hoping it would work in which I did but it was still messing up to the point it wouldn’t do anything with the shuffle. I had to turn off shuffle click a song then click shuffle again and then change the song for it to work and I feel like that is not how it should be.
I changed over to Deezer which the music sounds incredible and the UX is so much more responsive. The only thing I was worried about with Deezer is that I have over 29k songs on Spotify but let me tell you what, Deezer has a website that allowed me to transfer most of my songs over.
There were a couple that were indie artist that were not on Deezer but other than that to me it was worth the change over. The website is free to transfer music from Spotify, apple music, Youtube music, Amazon music, Tidal and so many more music platforms. You can have your music all in one place. If you need to transfer your music over click here!
Deezer also have the same plans if not the same cheaper than Spotify and to me is much better. They have a better quality in music and it sounds better.
Spotify’s sound quality is 360 kbps, Deezer is using HiFi and makes the music more crisp and sound a lot better and to me I love that.
If you play Deezer on your desktop you can close the application and it will still play because it is in the pop up arrow in task bar in which I love because Spotify does not do that unless you go through the settings and make it do it.
If you happen to use the free Deezer, you get ads and certain amount of skips, and you cannot pick your music so get the free trial. It gives you 2 months free unless you get the family plan which holds 6 people and that only gives you one month.
