TikTok Ban is so Much More
With the TikTok Ban hanging over our heads, there is so much more to it. ByteDance owns so much more than just TikTok and lemon 8. They have Marvel Snap banned, they have Cap-Cut banned, and I am afraid this is only the beginning.
There are a lot of other games that are Chinese that are at risk of being banned including NetEase games which hosts Marvel Rivals, Tencent games, Giant Interative, Perfect World, PixelMatic, CCP games, Epic games, Fun plus, IG-G, Mine loader software, Riot Games,Softstar entertainment, Tap4fun, Yoozoo games,3A games , Kunlun Tech, Changyou, Chukong Technologies, Coconut island games, directive games limited, Lilith games, Shanghai Artcoding, Firefly games, Shanghai U9 game limited are all at risk of being banned as we speak. This is a lot of things no one has thought of.
If they where using our data, then they have been using it for years and isn’t that what the term of service for everything we signed for? We pretty much accept them when we play games and buy them anyways so why does it matter? This has happened for years. It’s not like they are doing anything with them. Data breaches give more of information away and you can our information on the dark web because of unsecured placed such as banks, doctors office and many other places not video games not apps that we sign we sign up for. They are taking our first amendment right.
We did not expect it to affect the gaming industry the way it is. Gaming has brought a lot of money to the US market and with it being under attack the way it is there won’t much money made. Not only that we are going to have a lot of angry gamers who have been gaming since their childhood on the loose and it is not going to look great with all their built up anger they going to have. Because a lot of people uses video games to escape their issues and reality and taking it away is not a good thing.
Hopefully they can resolve all of this before it gets to much and we pretty much have revolution on our hands with a bunch of angry gamers.
