No Man’s Sky is a space game where you go from planet to planet looking for things and explore the planet to see what all is around it and find the products and elements you need to survive the harsh elements of those planets. 

You can literally fly everywhere as you go around collecting the things you will need to survive within the game. You will be doing a lot of scavenging, well its technically space mining as you slowly start building a base that you will call home. You will be looking for minerals and elements, like oxygen and nitrogen, which will help you keep your suit filled up of life sustaining systems and will recharge your mining laser so that it will stay alive. 

Planets will contain radiation and radiation storms as your exploring you will need to keep a check on your suits shields so that you will not supcome to radiation. As your exploring the planets you will run into some weird creatures and flying robots, called Sentials. Sentials are flying around scanning the planet and if you don’t mess with them they should not mess with you but they will detect you.

No Man’s Sky contains missions and quests that you have to complete to advance in learning how to build your base and get the more advanced equipment that will help you build better things and get the materials that you need. The mining laser is your main weapon and tool within the wild planets, as you learn more about the game and its mechanics, your laser will start to be advanced to where you can terraform and mine bigger items.
You have to mine around to get materials to keep yourself from dying and to help you fuel your shop and your gun. There are so many different things that you do in this game including interacting with aliens and befriending the creatures on the planet. 
The aliens allow you to sell things and get better gear and stuff. For the better gear you had to fly to the space station but to sell things I randomly went flying around searching camps that were already around and gathering things and found the place to sell things to get better stuff which was nice since I had no more room in my inventory.

This game took a while to get into for me and now that I understand it more I actually like it.
