Twitch is changing some say its for the better others say it is for the worst, twitch is no longer going to have hosting. Meaning if you have friends on the platform and want to host them you are going to have to go through the back end or edit your page and go to suggest streamers to host them but it is only temporary because they are getting rid of it. They already got rid of the host button on the stream manger dashboard meaning you cannot host them from the back side but you can raid them instead.
We are now getting 50/50 and partners use to get 70/30 but now partners are not getting that anymore. They are getting the same as affiliates. Partners on twitch is just a fancy titles now. They are basically equal to affiliates.
The only good thing I see about this is that we can get more ads now even though if you subscribe to tier 1 we only get 1.93 while twitch gets the rest. Not complaining because in the long run every penny counts and everything adds up.
Everyone has noticed that they are changing a lot of things and some people are even leaving the platform for YouTube which they are changing their stuff for the better. Some are spectating that amazon no long has the money to fund twitch and honestly, amazon in my opinion is kind of screwy anyways is all about money and do not care about us if you ask me for my two cents.
The good thing about twitch now is that they are letting people stream to YouTube which and themselves which is nice.
YouTube is making it so that you can use copyright music and either split your money with the artist or you can get a licensing to the artist which is nice. They are making it so much easier to get on with and also, in 2023 when all this is happening it will be easier to get partnered with YouTube because all of the shorts will count as watch time also.
