Fallout 76 is an open world fall out game. It is quest based and you are going around completing quests, taking out those who are radiated and other creatures. There are also random nuclear launches that fires random nuclear launched missiles.
As long as your camp is still there, you can teleport to it but you can also teleport to your missions if you have unlocked the locations. There are a lot of different missions in this one and it is well worth it.
The completing quests allow you to level up and make your way through the Appalachian and around Pittsburg.
Did I mention it is multiplayer and that there are a lot of people playing and it is all PVE. There is no PVP action and they can help you on quests if you ask. You can also teleport to their workshops, camps and others are set up as a store so you can shop from them. It is different and I actually like it.
