Ghost Exile is a game where you haunt ghosts with ghost haunting equipment that you bought and try to figure out what kind of ghost it is. Determining the type of ghost it is determines how you get to preform an exorcism. Sometimes it is hard trying to determine since most of the ghost can mimic others but its best to double check the proof.
It is kind of like Phasmophobia but it is totally different. In Phasmophobia you basically go around trying to figure out what the ghost is and you get the name of the ghost and how they are but in ghost exile, you have to find the ghost id, favorite item, and so much more to preform the exorcism by reading the book and standing in the sigil of the chosen ghost and if you get it wrong you have to leave and it will let you know if you got it wrong. You can also die in the middle of the exile so the people you are playing with can take over if it does happen. Some are angrier than others so be prepared for it.
If the ritual is done correctly the whole house will shake like an earth quake and it will tell you in the book that you are reading from that it was complete. You go back to the station where you choose the house and buy equipment and you can get the reward. If you decide not to exile it will tell you on the reward that it was not exile by giving you an red X and if the ghost type was not correct it will give you a red X also.
If the ghost is not doing anything and you cannot determine what it is you can use the spray paint to draw a sigil to anger it so you can determine it by what it does and how it reacts. Be mindful this could kill you in game so be ready.
There are jump scares in this game and it is random. The jump scares can appear out of know where and can tell you where the ghost is or was. This game is worth it but sometimes it can move slowly.
You also get to jot down in the in game notebook of evidence that you have seen or noticed such as, orbs, handprints, writing, if it spoke in the spirit box, if there is freezing temperatures, EMF, laser grid (D.O.Ts), Haze, infrared light, voice recorder which will also help you determine what it is.
