Niffelheim is a viking game that is 2d. You are trying to survive the waves of skeletons and giants all while by maintaining your base and trying to build it up.
You are going to different towns and places to gather materials you are needing. There is a merchant that you can buy and sell thing to and from.
There are plants and animals that use for food. The animals you can set traps for and certain things from them will allow you to build on to your base.
You can even mine in this game but be warned the mine is full of enemies, the grim reaper and rats and occasionally wolves and skeletons. You will also have to make a few extra doors to get all the way down the mine cause some doors will make you go back up to the top.
If you are are near a chair, you can sit in it to heal yourself.
Inside your base, there is a cooking station, crafting station for weapons and other things. The mine entrance is also on your base.
There are also dungeons with hard bosses and each one gets harder and harder. This game has a lot in it.
You can play this solo or invite your friends to help you get through this game and personally to me, I prefer to play with friends.
If you happen to die, your soul will leave your body and you will have to find your body and keep fighting. Other than that. I love this game.
If you are looking for a more relax version than the original, grab yourself the Odin’s Blessing DLC. It will make things easier and make the enemies less hostile.
