Monster Hunter Rise has been out for a while but it just released on Xbox game pass. This game is just like monster hunter world.
You will have to compile your shaders for this game so it may take a bit to get into it. You can play it with keyboard and mouse or controller which ever you prefer to play it with.
You can go in and customize each part of your character to be sure you get to play the character that you want and created.
You also get a pet Palamute that you can also customize. The pet come in 10 different styles and colors so it made it extremely hard to pick one since they all are cute! You can pick one and customize their coats, eyes, ears, tails, clothing, and voice which it was hard to just choose one!
Just like in Monster Hunter World, you also will get a Palico and you get to customize it also which is nice just like the Palamute, you can customize the Palico all the same ways and it is so cute that it is also hard to choose which one you are wanting but you can basically mix it up and customize it the way you want.
The Palico is a support animal, it can be a healer, assist, fight, bombardier and or gather which is nice that it has other things that it can do unlike in monster hunter world where it just assist or stay back at camp.
You will also get an owl, that will help you straighten your abilities and give you power up items.
The spirit bird gives you pollen to help boost your stats. While the clothfly can boost your defense.
This game is coop just like Monster Hunter World so if you get stuck you can always play with friends.
This game is a beautiful game and seems a little bit better than Monster Hunter World. There is a story behind this one. Instead of walking everywhere, the Palamute is a mount that you can ride which is nice. To get on it is F to get off of it is space.
You are going to be hunting monsters and creatures, completing quest taking breaks off the monster and bring it back just like in monster hunter world. There is just so much more in this game than monster hunter world and just as other people have said this game should of came out before monster hunter world since it makes a lot more sense.
Will update as I play the game and learn more of it. It just launched for xbox and psn last night at 7:00 pm est 01-19-2023.
The main tutorial is kind of longish and if you played monster hunter world then you basically know a good amount of it but you will end up going over it again because new things have been added to it. I must say, I love the mini map that you get because instead of like monster hunter world you have to guess where the monster is it directs you directly to it but you will have to chase it. Monster hunter world was a major challenge and I know this one will be too due to a friend was stuck for an hour trying to fight a monster. The first ever monster in this game is hard to beat and it will take you several minutes to hours to beat it,
You get village quests and Training quests and optional subquests to do. The subquests are gathering quests, endemic life, monster huntings, frost islands and monster slaying.
